We are the AIR Lab.

We are a research lab that is part of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago. We are working to make the Internet more trustworthy and inclusive. Our work research draws from the field of human-computer interaction. Specific areas we work in include: usable privacy and security, ubiquitous computing, and computing for marginalized and under-served populations.

Amyoli is a Xhosa name meaning many things – our favorite being `the clan is happy’. It encompasses communication, interaction, friendship, joy, lightness, humor, positivity, and optimism.
